trimethoprim, sulfamethoxazole (160/800mg) for sinus infection

I’m not allowed to take all antibiotics because I suffer from manic depression. So I already told which ones I’d rather have, but they still gave me something else. After two days I couldn’t walk any more, I just sat on my couch shaking, with terrible tummy ache and a headache. I took so much oxazepam just to suppress the side effects. After a week I quit and now I’m fine but very angry!

trimethoprim, sulfamethoxazole (960mg) for pharyngitis

Was referred to a specialist by GP. They prescribed me this drug 2× 960 mg. In combination with 4000 mg of paracetamol. Serious pharyngitis and swollen tonsils. Within 48 hours result. Confirmed by the ENT doctor. Being on this course for seven days now and got another 7 to go. But absolutely no problems with it. So it's a very effective problem-free drug. (Found other reactions so negative tha...

trimethoprim, sulfamethoxazole (960mg) for bacterial infection

Use this medicine for an infection (Whipple disease). Have to use it for 2 more years. This medicine is effective for the infection, but does cause a nagging pain (in use) in joints, muscles and tendons. I also get tired more quickly.

trimethoprim, sulfamethoxazole (960 mg) for urinary infection

After having other antibiotics that didn't work I was prescribed Co-Trimoxazol Aurobindo Forte for 14 days. It worked really well for the infection but the side effects were numerous. I was dead tired, dizzy, shaky and basically couldn't do anything. Also had no appetite. All I could do was lie in bed sweating. Because of these side effects I stopped the course after one week. Do not want to ha...

trimethoprim, sulfamethoxazole (160/800mg) for pneumonia

I'm not sure if this medicine is helping. was prescribed it by the respiratory consultant because of a chest infection and pulmonary embolism. Taking these tablets isn't a problem for me. The worst thing is the mild metallic taste I get with everything I eat and drink. I've been taking this medicine I've had pain on the backs of my calves which has been getting worse and makes it difficult for ...

trimethoprim, sulfamethoxazole (157 ml) for otitis media (ear infection)

Given these antibiotics for my 2-year-old son for 3 months, to prevent ear infections. Works perfectly, he thinks its tasty so is happy to take it, hasn't had any problems with his ears since he started taking it, no side-effects, now just need to wait until the course is finished, hopefully the ear infections won't come back.

trimethoprim, sulfamethoxazole (160/800mg) for otitis media (ear infection)

I got Cotrimoxazol forte 960 mg for an ear infection. I have now had 2 pills a day for 2 days and still have 5 days to go. I am suffering with dizziness. Not all the time, but things that I would normally react to quite sensitively, like operations on TV or peoples' stories about their operations, I now react really badly to them. I get so dizzy that I have to go and lie down so that I don't fa...
