After eight miserable years of chronic back pain I finally succumbed to trying this pain killer. Previously I have tried natural remedies, physio, yoga, Pilates, acupuncture. I have my life back! They worked immediately I move with no pain I walk over 10500 steps a day I can sit again without pain and a full nights sleep is the norm again I can’t recommend this enough .... no side effects w...

etoricoxib (90mg) for arthritis

I took this drug for pain associated with a rheumatoid arthritis flare. Within 2 days my limbs had all swollen and I was in extreme pain. I was suffering severe cramping pains in legs and had trouble controlling my bladder. The symptoms lasted several weeks and needed oral steroids to regain control. I wouldn't use again.

etoricoxib (90mg) for psoriatic arthritis

Prescribed this instead of Naproxen which was fairly effective but I did not like the need to take a proton pump inhibitor in order to avoid the gastro side effects. No complaints about Arcoxia, I can take it on an empty stomach with no adverse effects. This is gradually aiding in the calming down of dactylitis in my toes. The inflammation and pain is dramatically reduced a couple of hours af...

etoricoxib (60mg) for arthrosis

I've needed new knees for years but I had always been too young. To tide me over until the operation (I was on the waiting list), I was prescribed arcoxia and this drug is amazing!! I've been in pain for years but the waiting list will have to do without me now for a few years! I take this whenever I need it or if I know I am going to be walking a lot. I get swollen feet in warm weather but oth...

etoricoxib (60mg) for neuralgia

I had a hernia operation and now there is scar tissue on the area that is pressing on the nerves it's completely surrounded and there's nothing more to be done. An anaesthetist prescribed this drug for me at the pain clinic. After just one day I noticed a considerable difference, I can do things again and all without pain. It's like a revelation for me, I can now focus on my recovery. Arcoxia i...

etoricoxib (60mg) for hypersalivation

I have an egg-shaped lump under my skin on my jaw line on the left hand side under the corner of my mouth. It doesn't cause me any problems but it doesn't look very nice. When I press it it hurts and sometimes it seems to get bigger or smaller. Been to the GP and she thinks it's an infected salivary gland, which is why I had ARCOXIA 60 mg for 10 days. But as it didn't have any effect after the ...

etoricoxib (60mg) for joint pain

Joint pain with Crohn's, this is a 'safe' drug as far as intestines go (compared to other NSAIDs) but combined with Azathioprine I had significantly increased liver values (AST/ALT) after 2 months. Stopped immediately. But it was a good painkiller!

etoricoxib (90mg) for arthrosis

Been taking arcoxia 90 mg for about 10 months. This was for the treatment of an infection in my shoulder. To start off with the pain disappeared. After using it for 6 months it started becoming less and less effective and I noticed that I was retaining fluid in my fingers, toes and ankles. I put on 5-6 kilos within 2-3 weeks. On top of that there was heavy pain and cramp and stiffness in my fin...

etoricoxib (90mg) for inflammation (mouth)

I had a root canal treatment and am in between stages, I still need the filling. A minor infection has developed under my molar with a throbbing pain, eating with this molar is painful. Before the infection I had a pain inhibitor, arcoxia, ibuprofen is 10 x more effective for the pain. I just feel slightly dizzy and am starting to get frustrated with the headaches. The past few days and today I...

etoricoxib (90mg) for hernia

After disc degeneration L5-S1 I was given this drug as a drastic solution by the GP. The disc was virtually pulverised and there was no point in surgery. Works exceptionally well as a combined painkiller/muscle relaxant after not knowing how to lie at night and as a anti inflammatory for the rest of the spinal discs. Used this daily between 2006 and 2012. Never any problems or side effects. Rec...

etoricoxib (90mg) for arthritis of the spine

After frequent use of naproxen the rheumatologist decided to prescribe me arcoxia because it retains less water. This morning the GP told me to stop taking arcoxia immediately because of damage to my intestines.

etoricoxib (90mg) for rheumatism

The pain between my shoulders has got less but the rest of the pain is still there. As well as that, the biggest problem was that I got really bad depression and everything associated with it. Not to be underestimated. Because of the extreme depression I suffered when taking Arcoxia 90 I think I'd rather cope with the pain.

etoricoxib (90mg) for arthrosis

I have deterioration of my hip and I was prescribed Arcoxia about 4 months ago. I'm not convinced that it helps but I take it anyway. I'm still stiff and am actually in pain all day long. Ibuprofen 400 mg with 2 paracetamol give me more relief than Arcoxia. Side effects Arcoxia: it makes me really tired. I started taking it in the morning after breakfast but after advice from my GP I now take ...
