Ciprofloxacin

ciprofloxacin lactate (500mg) for urinary infection

The problem itself disappeared after 2 days. But the side effects... I really hope I never have to take this again. Could hardly walk for all the fluid in my legs and stomach. Really tired, nightmares, muscle pain, joint pain, difficulty going to the toilet, blurred vision. Feel like I've been chained to my bed at home.

ciprofloxacin lactate (500mg) for urinary infection

My first UTI seemed to be cured with fosfomycin but unfortunately it came back worse after a couple of days. After 4 days of suffering I was given this course and it gave me immediate relief, as soon as I took the first capsule. The first few days I felt lightheaded, dizzy and sleepy, lifeless with little appetite. But apart from that no other problems: no diarrhoea or stomach complaints. I man...

ciprofloxacin lactate (500mg) for urinary infection

First seven days, after a week another UTI, another seven days, I wanted to stop on the third day, urologist told me to keep going, after a week another UTI which I managed by drinking and peeing a lot more, almost unbearable pain and difficulty walking. This is a medicine whose side effects are worse than the illness it is supposed to cure.

ciprofloxacin lactate (500mg) for urinary infection

Given ciprofloxacine for a severe bladder infection. 1 tablet twice a day for 7 days. It worked for the bladder infection but I found it harder and harder to swallow, had no appetite and just a general feeling of malaise. Sore and swollen throat. These side effects weren't in the patient information leaflet or mentioned by the pharmacist. I looked online and found out that they are very rare si...

ciprofloxacin lactate (500mg) for urinary infection

During use heavy headaches and migraine and a bloated feeling in the stomach. Quit prematurely but sadly still not in time to avoid further side effects. Within a few days I was feeling miserable, feeling pain in every muscle, diarrhoea, throwing up, stomach ache and nauseous.

ciprofloxacin lactate (500mg) for urinary infection

Suspected bladder infection. Previously started on nitrofurantoin, did nothing. Then got a packet of Monuril, also no effect. Ciprofloxacin started working on day 4/5 of the 7-day course.. thought that it was also useless but eventually it worked.

ciprofloxacin lactate (500mg) for urinary infection

Very effective antibiotic. I had a look on this site before I started taking it. What a load of scaremongering! Obviously everyone reacts differently but I've never heard such horror stories in my life. I decided to start taking them any way and let me tell you something. 0 side effects. And after the second day the symptoms started disappearing. I say great antibiotic.

Co-Trimoxazole

trimethoprim, sulfamethoxazole (960 mg) for urinary infection

After having other antibiotics that didn't work I was prescribed Co-Trimoxazol Aurobindo Forte for 14 days. It worked really well for the infection but the side effects were numerous. I was dead tired, dizzy, shaky and basically couldn't do anything. Also had no appetite. All I could do was lie in bed sweating. Because of these side effects I stopped the course after one week. Do not want to ha...
