Mesalamine (250mg) for ulcerative colitis

I felt worse and worse until one morning I passed out and ended up in the hospital, I had fierce pain in my chest but they thought that it was just because of the fall. After a week and a half they decided to stop all of my medication and after just half a day I was feeling so much better. Mesalamine (2g) for ulcerative colitis

I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in March 2017. I was immediately started on a 6 week course of prednisolone in addition to 4 mg of Pentasa each morning and a Pentasa suppository every night. Once I'd finished the prednisolone, the problems started. Mesalamine (2g) for ulcerative colitis

Pentasa worked really well for a good year and a half, no complaints, no side effects. Stopped after this year and a half all of a sudden with side effects so they prescribed me Medrol in combination with Imuran.

Mesalamine (1g/do) for Crohn's disease

I've been taking this in granulate form for about 2 years, before that one and a half years as tablets. Keeps my Crohn's under control. Last year, was advised to stop for one month and all of my Crohn's symptoms came back, really badly. Started taking them again alongside Entocort. Now I'm back on just pentasa and everything is just fine.
