Omeprazole (20mg) for gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GORD)

Been using for years, each year it works less and less, need to use more then i used to. I'm getting bad hair loss from it. i've looked for other things. Eating french curd cheese helps me feel better. After enough i dont have trouble with my stool and it's almost normal again.

Omeprazole (20mg) for gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GORD)

After using omeprazole for 2 months for diaphragm hernia, I now need a hearing aid! Stopped as soon as I realised it was affecting my hearing in my good ear (the other is damaged as a result of operations) Switched to ranitidine which works well and hasn't given me any problems. Omeprazole shouldn't be prescribed to old folks.

Omeprazole (10mg) for gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GORD)

Sometimes if I eat too late or drink alcohol I get reflux. So then I take an omeprazole with a Rennie and I can then sleep through without the heartburn waking me up.

Omeprazole (40mg) for stomach pain

After first trying a lighter medicine against heartburn my doctor prescribed Omeprazol 40mg. After two days, all my problems were under control. I’m very satisfied and will keep on using it.

Omeprazole (20mg) for gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GORD)

Definitely helps for reflux! Only problem was that I got gigantic headaches after a couple of weeks, 2 weeks after I stopped it went away. Started again and after a few days the headache came back, as well as a strange feeling of pressure on my forehead, like my BP was too high or something, and a red face

Omeprazole (10mg) for gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GORD)

After my stomach valve became defective, took Rennies for years before I went to bed. They don't help any more. After about 6 months of acid reflux overnight, started taking omeprazole. As soon as I did, I no longer had any problems. Now and then I do try to reduce it but then the reflux starts again. No side effects.

Omeprazole (40mg) for reflux

Really high dose from the ENT doctor 2 x 40 mg. Issues with my buccal mucosa and headaches and dizziness. Increased. Above all, it was the mouth symptoms I suffered most with. Stopped it, headache gone and mouth symptoms reduced.

Omeprazole (40mg) for heartburn

my whole life = about 50 years of very frequent, severe pain with heartburn (often all the way into my throat). and so I've always had rennies and/or Maalox to hand. since I've been using omeprazole I've had hardly any complaints, or at most very sporadic episodes. alternately using 20 and 40 mg.

Omeprazole (40mg) for stomach pain

Perfect to reduce stomach acid. I aso had a sore throat, problems with swallowing and oedema. I heard somewhere this could be caused by the Omeprazol so I quit and the sore throat did indeed disappear.

Omeprazole (20mg) for gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GORD)

After 8 years of omeprazole use the muscle- bone- and nerve pains have increased over the last 5 months. I also experience nausea, dizziness and cold. My GP and specialists couldn’t find a cause for these symptoms so I was advised to stop this medicine in September. The pain is gradually disappearing; I’m still nauseous, headache and cold also remain. I’m hopeful these will also disappear in ti...

Omeprazole (20mg) for hernia

I was prescribed Diclofenac and later Tramadol for a hernia. I had to take these gastric protectors with them. Didn't have any stomach problems or side effects. Unfortunately the painkillers weren't strong enough and I had other medication prescribed for which I don't need to have gastric protectors.

Omeprazole (40mg) for reflux

For the first few days I just felt more nauseous, but after a week I didn't have any more problems with it. I hardly have stomach pain any more. The only side effect is that my stomach feels different and that means I'm much less aware of my hunger and appetite.

Omeprazole (20mg) for stomach ulcer

Had to start taking this because I've probably got a stomach ulcer. I get more heartburn than I have ever had before, and I am constantly hiccuping. Worse was the fatigue and the constant headache. I was totally wrecked on 20 mg, on 40 mg (the first day I had to have a double dose) I was so tired that all I could do was lie down, every movement was such an effort. Even lifting my own arm was ha...

Omeprazole (20mg) for heartburn

For me, 1 capsule sometimes works for 3/4 days until I get a sort of uprising feeling and then I just take another one. I can't manage without it, works fantastically without side effects.

Omeprazole (20mg) for stomach pain

Taken 1 tablet once a day for years. Then my digestion went up the creek as a result of the diagnosis and treatment of another serious illness in discussion with the GP increased to twice a day. Works well and fast. I hope I'll be able to go back down to once a day again. Clogs me up a bit but it's not a problem.

Omeprazole (20mg) for psoriatic arthritis

I got this medicine because I needed to have anti-inflammatories. It works really well for protecting my stomach but after one week I started to have diarrhoea, an irritating sound in my ears, dizziness, insomnia and stomach pain. Once I stopped taking it, these complaints disappeared in a few days, but when I started taking omeprazol again, it was the same story after a couple of days. What a ...
