Amlodipine (5mg) for high blood pressure

I've used this twice so far. The first time i had troublesome side effects, but it's not clear to me if it was from my other medication or this. My blood pressure is now down to normal after taking it for 14 days.

Amlodipine (5mg) for high blood pressure

The only bad thing about Amlodipine Accord is that the tablets are quite rough and are difficult to swallow. This meant that after taking them I had a bit of a sore throat.

Amlodipine (5mg) for migraine

I've suffered with migraines since I was 15. Tried everything. After I started taking medicine for high BP, the attacks reduced in terms of severity and they are now controllable with sumatriptan. Since the cardiologist gave me exforge, which contains amlodipine among other things, I haven't had a single migraine. Because my BP was really low, I stopped taking exforge. Five weeks later, the mig...

Amlodipine (5mg) for high blood pressure

I was prescribed this because my blood pressure was still extremely high (over 230). And it does what it's supposed to do: my blood pressure has gone back down to normal. But I have definitely noticed the side effects, worst of all fatigue. This should have gone away by now, after 4 weeks, but it hasn't. On top of that I have now also always got cold hands (which I never had before, never even...

Amlodipine (5mg) for high blood pressure

The first few days were absolutely fine but the problems began after a week. Dizzy spells, headaches, sore throat and coughing, muscle pain, etc, etc. I stopped taking this rubbish straight away. It makes you think you're better off with your illness than the side effects. What a load of rubbish. I'll freely admit I didn't read the patient information leaflet but once the side effects appeared ...

Amlodipine (10mg) for high blood pressure

I have had fluid retention for many years, without any clear cause. The last few years also heavy rash and stretched skin. My blood pressure remained fairly high. The doctor gave me heavier medication which caused rash on both my legs. 3 days after changing medication my blood pressure has changed to normal, there's no fluid retention en my skin is back to normal. So it seems my side effects wh...

Amlodipine (10mg) for high blood pressure

Swollen ankles especially left leg. This is especially bad in the summer. During the evenings I need to elevate my legs. Annoying when I can't do this (meetings, etc.) then in the morning I still have swollen legs.

Amlodipine (10mg) for high blood pressure

I had to stop my pain relief injections for my hernia because of an allergy to another medicine with same effects. I might have had the same effects in the beginning but after 8 years I can't quite remember. After all this time my allergic reaction was severe and both × I was rushed to hospital in an ambulance. Amlodipine (5mg) for high blood pressure

After taking perindopril for a year, and with comparable side-effects, switched to amlodipine. The first few weeks were fine but after that the side-effects started. Despite good sleep, I was tired all day, my legs were hurting when I exercise and I gained a lot of weight really quickly. These are the most obvious side-effects. And my blood pressure was once again too high. (175/105

Amlodipine (10mg) for high blood pressure

Got really aggressive and I'm really not an aggressive person, and I've got swollen ankles, I can't get my shoes on any more and I don't feel comfortable in my own skin. I've stopped taking it but then I'm back to the high blood pressure, which I never had problems with before I had this and now who knows what.

Amlodipine (10mg) for heart pain

Heart and blood vessels. I don't believe that this medicine is the right one for me to use too many side effects which last for too long with increasingly worsening side effects. I started off with another medicine that I used perfectly fine for 5 years. But that medicine, in combination with a lumbar puncture (hernia) pain clinic, gave me an allergic reaction which meant I had to switch to Am...

Amlodipine (5mg) for high blood pressure

I am a woman. This is essential in terms of the effects of medicines. After the troubles I had with ineffective perindopril and candesartan it turned out that amlodipine was an effective anti-hypertensive. I am now attempting to manage my blood pressure with half a tablet a day so that the side-effects are less noticeable.

Amlodipine (5mg) for high blood pressure

After 12-15 days I got more red flecks and bumps on my back, arms, legs and bottom. Really itchy and a kind of eczema patch about 10-15 mm big. What can I do about this? Have I got some kind of type 3 allergy? Used to take Metoprolol 50 and 100 mg once a day. Then I was often really dizzy. Also difference in source and brand. Of the Perindopril 4 mg. P coming from Poland makes me really dizzy a...

Amlodipine (5mg) for high blood pressure

I've never taken tablets, this is the first time because of high blood pressure. Blood pressure isn't really low but I feel (in my 50s) like an old man, tired every day, dizzy and sleepy. Doctor was thinking about giving me diuretics because it says you should. Before you do know it, you're on a prescription pages long.

Amlodipine (5mg) for high blood pressure

I was taken into hospital because of a mild cerebral infarction that was caused by hypertension. I have used atenolol and eupressyl for years. The medicine was changed in the hospital and I was given hydrochlorthiazide as well (which I have also had before) and amlodipline. After a few days the side effects started. Headache, swollen ankles, hot head etc. I couldn't cope with it after four week...
