Experiences with Azithromycin

Got diarrhea after 1 hour and it didn't stop the next day..half way through the day I started bleeding heavily. No bad side effects in itself, just that 2 hours after taking it and after eating, we both got diarrhoea. (I'm not that bad a cook either ;-) )I had it once, my partner twice. But no problems after that. Now I'm just wondering if the pills can have actually done their job?

My doctor prescribed this cure for phayngitis. A few hours after taking 500mg my stomach got upset and diarrhea started and lasted for 7 hours. So I ended the cure. I'd rather have a sore throat and take a few throat tablets than diarrhea.

The GP prescribed azitromycine for pneumonia. It was helpful as far as the pneumonia was concerned. Unfortunately I had lots of side effects. Stabbing pains in my stomach, problems with my bowels and severe stomach pain. It made me so miserable that I would have preferred the pain from the pneumonia over the side effects.

I had an evil ear infection so the GP recommended antibiotics and ear drops. After a few days the pressure in my ear lessened and the medicine did help, but I had evil diarrhoea, dark and runny. It looked like a cowpat. The worst thing is that it's still going on. It's now January. So 2 months later and there are still days when I simply need to race to the loo.
