etoricoxib (60mg) for arthrosis

I've needed new knees for years but I had always been too young. To tide me over until the operation (I was on the waiting list), I was prescribed arcoxia and this drug is amazing!! I've been in pain for years but the waiting list will have to do without me now for a few years! I take this whenever I need it or if I know I am going to be walking a lot. I get swollen feet in warm weather but oth...

misoprostol, diclofenac sodium (50mg/200ug) for arthrosis

Arthrorec is diclofenac with a gastro-protective layer so that you don't need to take any additional gastric protectors (omeprazole). A few years ago I was using it now and then but now it's every day. This is because I broke a vertebra which didn't heal following a bout of aggravated arthrosis. I try not to take more because it is supposed to have side effects. But it helps me get through the ...

Celebrex

celecoxib (100mg) for arthrosis

After taking 100 mg for two weeks this doesn't seem to be enough. Moved up to 200 mg. It was better but in the meantime it had got a lot warmer outside which is better for my joints. After putting on 5 kg, I stopped straight away. I don't want to take this any more, I'd rather cope with the pain than carry around all this extra weight when I think about all the effort I put in to lose 20 kg!

Arcoxia

etoricoxib (90mg) for arthrosis

Been taking arcoxia 90 mg for about 10 months. This was for the treatment of an infection in my shoulder. To start off with the pain disappeared. After using it for 6 months it started becoming less and less effective and I noticed that I was retaining fluid in my fingers, toes and ankles. I put on 5-6 kilos within 2-3 weeks. On top of that there was heavy pain and cramp and stiffness in my fin...

fentanyl (50ug/uur) for arthrosis

Took durogesic 50ug/hr effectively and had no pain. The only side effects were very itchy, painful spots. Full effect after 3 days, problem passing stools such that I needed movilax and movicol to be able to go.

Arcoxia

etoricoxib (90mg) for arthrosis

I have deterioration of my hip and I was prescribed Arcoxia about 4 months ago. I'm not convinced that it helps but I take it anyway. I'm still stiff and am actually in pain all day long. Ibuprofen 400 mg with 2 paracetamol give me more relief than Arcoxia. Side effects Arcoxia: it makes me really tired. I started taking it in the morning after breakfast but after advice from my GP I now take ...
