Gabapentin (100mg) for neuralgia

I took gabapentine to see if I genuinely to have neuralgia. After lots of discomforting and worrying side effects when I was getting used to it (above all headache and extreme tiredness), I am now, after 2 months, experiencing hair loss and muscle pain. On top of that, I've lost a heck of a lot of weight, but that might be because I'm a student and can't have alcohol with this medicine. What I ...

Gabapentin (300mg) for neuralgia

I finally had surgery for a hernia (L5-S1) last October. Unfortunately the pain only decreased slightly. I had an epidural injection combined with Gabapentine three times a day. As a result the pain decreased, but the side effects are still serious. Side effects are a dry mouth, hot flashes and a red face like when having a fever. Also heartburn, dizziness and double vision. These should decrea...

Gabapentin (800mg) for polyneuropathy

I get neuropathy because of chemo and had to reduce the dose of taxol (chemo). And nothing has changed, went to the neurologist, and was given another medicine to try, but she can't do anything more to help me, so I have to persevere with Gabapentin. My question is, is there a better drug for neuropathy. I had tried amitriptyline cream but it totally didn't help. I'm afraid that if I stop with ...

Gabapentin (300mg) for polyneuropathy

Used to use Lyrica for neuropathic pain (nerve pain in my leg) in combination with amitriptylline and oxycodon. Now taking gabapentine in combination with methadone (and, if needed, oxycodon and amitriptylline in a low dose) instead of the Lyrica and although we're looking for the right levels, (lyrica suppresses more strongly and better) it seems to have fewer, and fewer serious, side effects ...

Gabapentin (300mg) for neuralgia

This is a foul medicine, what I mean is it often prescribed for its side-effects. Originally it was an antiepileptic drug but as a side effect, among other things, it offered nerve pain relief. That's what I had it for. Works well as a painkiller, but in return for that I got 7-9 other problems. That was not the intention. I think it's rubbish and now I get my relief from regular painkillers. B...

Gabapentin (100mg) for neuralgia

I take this medicine in combination with Oxicodon and paracetamol. 3 x 10 mg a day Oxicodon and 3 times 200 mg Gabapentine. Also a lot of other medicines for blood pressure and for acromegaly Somatuline 120. But to what end? I feel like a zombie. The pain I take the Oxicodon for is arthritis in my joints. Gabapaentine for nerve pain. Damaged nerves in my shoulder blades. Feel like they are on f...
