Methylphenidate (54mg) for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

After the medicine stops working after about 8-12 hours sometimes you get headaches. They are almost certain to happen if you have just started taking Concerta.

Methylphenidate (54mg) for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

This drug was unsuccessful. I got suicidal thoughts from both Concerta and methylphenidate, I felt like a zombie, I was really anxious and everything irritated me. It was like what was going on in my head was just getting worse. I have used this drug once before and back then it did help me. Now I'm an adult. Perhaps it has a different effect now.

Methylphenidate (54mg) for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

After years of muddling through on anti depressants which I still happen to be on, I started Ritalin in October 2016. In less than a week I was needing to take one every 2 hours which made me really unsettled and overwrought. Been on Concerta 54 mg for a month now. 1 capsule a day isn't enough. But I feel good, like myself again, and not so dulled.

Methylphenidate (54mg) for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

Hi this is an amazing medication, since I started concerta my world has completely changed. My home life changed for the better, everything's going much better at work especially my concentration, I even had a considerable period of absenteeism because of my impulsive nature which resulted in an accident on the work floor. All of a sudden everything became clear for me. I hope that my story can...

Methylphenidate (27mg) for attention deficit disorder (ADD)

I have been using concerta for about a month now and for my ADD it is very effective. I can concentrate well and starting and completing any task is so much easier. As a side effect however I have severe loss of hair. For me this is a serious reason to quit this medicine. Sometimes I get very tense and get exhausted in the evenings, but this in itself would be ok to deal with. Its mainly the ha...

Methylphenidate (54mg) for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

I have switched from ritalin to concerta. I prefer it. On ritalin I really suffered with "rebound". It even made me depressed. I don't have that with concerta. The advantage of concerta is also that you only have to take 1 a day and not at exactly the same time, unlike ritalin.

Methylphenidate (54mg) for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

I take 54 mg in the morning and the effect has normally worn off after 3 or 4 hours, so then I take 2×10 mg of Ritalin, which is not enough as far as I'm concerned.

Methylphenidate (54mg) for attention deficit disorder (ADD)

Switched from Ritalin to Concerta because of the number of side effects with Ritalin. Started with 36 mg Concerta but it was less effective at this dose than the Ritalin I had been taking although there were few, if any, side effects. Recently increased to 54 mg Concerta. This has made a difference but there are still a few side effects like those I had with Ritalin.

Methylphenidate (36mg) for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

My whole life I have been stressed, chaotic, impulsive. I have been taking methylphenidate retard for four months. At the start I had a lot of headaches and palpitations. But the effect was amazing. I was more focused at work. I work in a care home and in the past I always reacted when the residents asked for something. I jumped from one thing to another. Now I finish my tasks and don't get ann...

Methylphenidate (36mg) for attention deficit disorder (ADD)

I take the tablet early in the morning, at 6.15am, by doing this I get really tired by about 3pm. Concerta helps to improve my emotional stability. Sadness/depressive feelings regularly play a role.
