Azathioprine (50mg) for Crohn's disease

After i had just begun taking the medicine i had some problems. for the First two weeks i have had a very bad feeling in my stomach. After two weeks this problem was gone. The convenience of this medicine is that you can take your daily does in one go.

Azathioprine (50mg) for Crohn's disease

I have been diagnosed with Crohn... I got a hefty prednisone cure and got started with azathioprine. Initially started with 3x 50mg per day (no buildup but immediately BAM). followed by a liver and pancreatic inflammation. I always had to prick blood, medicine mirror and a slight outbuilding. Azathioprine (50mg) for myasthenia gravis

After 10 days high fever with cold shivers. Serious, inexplicable muscle and joint pains. A few days after I'd stopped still had serious skin breakouts.

Azathioprine (50mg) for Crohn's disease

Recently started trying to increase azathioprine, unfortunately I suddenly got really ill (feverish, miserable, …) and my liver values were so high that my doctor rang me in a panic to say I needed to stop taking it immediately. Personally I have had no benefits from this medicine.

Azathioprine (100mg) for ulcerative colitis

Had ulcerative colitis four years ago. Treatment with cortisone was no longer effective. After stopping the treatment I relapsed straight away. So the specialist prescribed me azathioprine. I was supposed to increase to 200 mg/day and it should have taken a few weeks before I noticed any effects. However after just one week it was already better.
