linagliptin (5mg) for diabetes type 2
Use this medicine because I increased my glicazide to 3 x 80 mg and it wasn't effective any more. My glucose levels have significantly decreased. This morning down to 5.5. Before that it was 10+. I have had another hypo at 3.6. Ate too little, I think.

After a few years on metformine (2 x 1000) I was given Trajenta as well and it's working really well. Also gradually lost weight (which never happened with metformine!). It is additional to not instead of metformine. Now live abroad and have to pay for this medicine myself and I can really see the difference: metformine costs me about €1.95 and trajenta €59.95!!!
