Lamotrigine (25mg) for epilepsy

I’m getting used to Lamotrigine for nearly a week now, at the same time I also have to take Levetiracetam for another four weeks. I’m very nauseous after taking my medicines and I read somewhere that eating dry crackers can help get rid of nausea and it really helps me get over it. Besides nausea I have a dry throat and feel tired, not sure if this is caused by the double dose or not. I’ll let ...

Lamotrigine (300 mg) for depression

But now that I only use Lamotrigine 100 mg once a day in the evening, I get quite bad palpitations, such that I am short of breath. That's why, on advice from the neurologist, I have switched to twice daily doses of 50 mg. It's going a bit better, sometimes I still have a few mild palpitations. Als...

Lamotrigine (100mg) for facial pain

Facial pain (trigeminal neuralgia). Throughout the day countless bouts of shooting pains in my left cheek. From dentist to GP to neurologist. After having kidneys checked and an MRI scan: Lamotrigine. In 4 weeks increased from 25 to 100 mg. In the meantime coming off 500 mg Naproxen that only helped a little bit. Once I'd got up to 100 mg, the pains had completely disappeared But: now and then ...
