Experiences with Fluoxetine

Ive been using this for almost 3 years and i really notice when i'm using it. I would certainly recommend this, but i wouldn't just take it on a whim.

Happily taken fluoxetine by PCH for about 3 years for severe PMS symptoms. This month I switched to Centrafarm which, on paper, has the exact same composition. Now for the first time in years I feel awful in the week before my period. It is hell. Recognise any of this?

I started off taking citalopram for a few months but it didn't do anything for me. Been on 30 mg fluoxetine for 3 months now but I feel really bad on it. Dead tired, always tense, lump in my throat. I was switched from Escitalopram to Fluoxetine because the Escitalopram had had no effect after 2 months... 2 months later on Fluoxetine for and I'd almost given up hope because I still hadn't noticed any kind of improvement. I started taking this medicine for mood swings, anxiety and compulsive thoughts. It worked well when I was on 20 mg. The side effects (yawning) went away after two weeks apart from the wild dreams and loss of libido. Fluoxetine made me less interested in sex and also unable to climax. I've been taking a low dose of fluoxetine for almost a year now and I'm really happy with it. In the first few weeks I had a bit of muscle pain but nothing since. I have put on a bit of weight but I can cope with that. I feel much better and I've got much more of a lust for life.

I'm mostly interested in the experiences people have had with changes in their weight. Is there anyone who's used Prozac/Fluoxetine who wants to tell me about it? I need to start taking this but can't find out anything about it. So I'm not sharing my experience here, this is just a question. I hope that that's still okay!

good medicine, was a bit drowsy in the beginning and had reduced libido...they came back soon enough and the drowsiness is going as well after taking this for a few weeks...
