Levothyroxine (75ug) for thyroid removed

I found the old formula marketed in Portugal. I therefore resume the old treatment for 6 days hoping to regain my general condition before the change of excipients imposed by the laboratory. I am reassured to know that I am not alone and to have an explanation for this brutal degradation of my state. Operated in 2006 for a total ablation of the thyroid, I never changed the dosage with which I w...

Levothyroxine (175ug) for thyroid removed

The doctors took away the Thyroîde in 1999, I've been taking lévothyrox since. I had to change my dosages to every pregnancy, but after all came back to normal. For two months, I take the new formula and I feel a deep discomfort, I can no longer fall asleep, I sleep poorly and I am tired all the time, I also have huge pain in my legs, I cannot do long walk. And there, for three weeks, I have lo...

Levothyroxine (125ug) for Hashimoto's thyroiditis

For 20 years, I've been taking Lévothyrox (Hashimoto's disease), I'm stabilized at 125. In May, I started the new formula (no choice) and after two months, fatigue, especially from midday, dizziness, headache. I just redo the TSH dosage, the rate was divided by four! Back Monday at my doctor, I am considering ordering this medicine in the Netherlands, where nothing has been changed in the formu...

Levothyroxine (125ug) for hypothyroidism

I have been suffering from Hashimoto's hypothyroidism since I was 10 years old. After 28 years of treatment, I thought I'd seen it all. At first, everything went well with the Levothyrox and then towards 2003 the formula changed, the colored tablets became white and filled with lactose. The problems started, especially muscular. In 2008, I found myself in disability with excruciating and chron...

Levothyroxine (100ug) for hypothyroidism

I was taking Lévothyrox 100 without having a problem since 1999. Since the month of May, without knowing that the formula of Lévothyrox had changed, I had dizziness to the limit of the discomfort and the consequent tingling in the feet and legs. Emergency department. To date, I have permanent and violent cramps with hand start. I also have abundant sweats in the face and on the body. I did som...

Impossible to know if there is a connection with the change of box because I did not pay attention to the beginning to this detail. I do not know if it is related, but since March 20, 2017 has appeared a giant hives in the form of red and hot plaques forming balls under the skin; As well as swelling of the lips and chin requiring an antihistamine

Levothyroxine (125ug) for thyroid removed

After various measures, my doctor found the right dosage and I felt fit. Since June 2017, which corresponds to the taking of the new Levothyrox, I felt a very high fatigue, hot flashes, a sore back. I don't have enough energy to do a little sport, which is indispensable for me.

Levothyroxine (125ug) for thyroid removed

My troubles increase over time. In January, after my ablation, I was well for a month and then I felt extreme fatigue. My doctor then increased my dosage of lévothyrox and I went from 100 to 125. Since then I have hot flashes day and night, always this fatigue and for 1 month, daily diarrhea with abdominal pain. I'm exhausted!

Levothyroxine (112ug) for thyroid removed

Following the finding of benign nodules, I have had a gradual treatment at Levothyrox since 2002. Subsequently, the doctor advised an ablation, made in 2013, because the Levothyrox had no effect on the nodules which became troublesome. I don't have cancer. I passed early 2016 to 125ug dosage for 4 days, then 100ug for 3 days. I have taken the new boxes gradually since June 2017 because I had so...

The taking of the levothyrox seems inevitable, I notice according to the seasons and temperatures that the action of the product seems to be affected. The correct setting is relatively long and depends on the result of the blood test.

I had a radiactive iodine therapy in 2007 with goiter and nodule = destruction thyroid/Dow bass since 2000. I take Levothyrox since 2000 and my dosage has been altered after radioactive iodine therapy. Levothyroxine (150ug) for overactive thyroid

I often come back to this forum to talk about the progress of my state and read your testimonies, because I feel I am misunderstood by people who are not involved. For 10 days I have had a change of dosage as my TSH soars. I suffer enormously from the right leg to the kidneys, from excruciating lumbar and muscular pain, being athletic and worshipping walking, it has become a torment!! After a 1...

Levothyroxine (200ug) for thyroid removed

I had a total thyroid ablation in 1999. For 18 years, I had no problem. And there, since the new formula, the horror: enormous fatigue, leg cramps, joint pain, nausea. When I wake up, I don't know if I'm going to get out, drive. I haven't worked since July 3rd. I live at 60 km from the Spanish border, so yesterday a friend took me to buy the Eutirol (old formula of Levothyrox). I started thi...

Levothyroxine (125ug) for thyroid removed

I am appalled to see that the formula has been changed, and that it leaves me no choice. In view of the very important and disabling side effects, it is necessary to restore the old formula as soon as possible and leave the choice to each one. The goal is to feel good and better, not to be on the borderline to crack nervously, until exhausted. My life depends on it!

Levothyroxine (12,5) for hypothyroidism

I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid. The doctor started me on a low dose, 12.5 mg. I am always careful about what I eat, make sure I keep active, but I haven't lost any weight, if anything, I'm putting it on!! So I am really hoping this will help me. Any one else here experienced this? And how long does it take before the medicine starts working? Thanks in advance, marlie

Took this for about 9 weeks and for 9 weeks had really bad headaches, was nauseous, not able to do anything, getting depressed after switching from thyrax to levothyroxine. Thyrax is available again but the GP has given me less, 75 mcgr instead of 100 mcgr. I'm happy, but the first day...headache, stomach ache, nauseous, weepy, anxious, couldn't go outside, second day, diarrhoea as well. Misera...

Levothyroxine (150ug) for hypothyroidism

After a course of iodine treatment my thyroid was working too slowly. I was using thyrax but I had to switch to this medicine. I didn't associate my symptoms with this medicine because I had virtually no side effects from thyrax and I hadn't expected any kind of change. I was naive to think that you could get a decent replacement. Because the symptoms were so bad I thought I'd have a look to se...

Levothyroxine (75ug) for hypothyroidism

I'm on levotyraxine since December 2016, first 25ug now I take 75ug (last 3 weeks). At the start I was often dizzy and felt like I had the flu. These last 2 weeks I’ve been bothered by a sore throat, as if it’s squeezed. I sleep a lot less, feel a bit woolly in my head and have a burning sensation in my eyes. My weight has not changed!

Levothyroxine (150ug) for hypothyroidism

After having quite happily used thyrax for 20 years, this year I had to switch to an alternative. The pharmacist gave me Levothyroxine, made by Teva, at the same dose. Unfortunately, after a few weeks, I had all sorts of symptoms that I'd never had before: palpitations, tired, breathless. Is that suggestive of too high a dose? I'm having blood tests next week so hopefully they will suggest a so...

I've taken thyrax for years without any problems and now I am being forced to switch to this medicine. I got miserable very quickly. Hot flushes nausea headache dizziness at first I thought I had sunstroke. Went to have my bloods done and all of a sudden my thyroid was overactive. I felt great the first 3 weeks after changing from Thyrax to Levoxthyroxine. More energy, healthier, etc. But then it went wrong; cramps at night, muscle ache, insomnia, depression, etc. My blood values were way up.
