In the beginning i had no side effects, but after a few months of taking letrozole i began to get a burning feeling on the inside of my hands and a numb feeling in the middle and ring finger of my right hand.

Letrozole (2,5mg) for breast cancer

In 2013 I was diagnosed with hormone-sensitive breast cancer and was later prescribed Tamoxifen. I thought it was great apart from cramps in my calves during the night. Unfortunately in early 2015 I had another hormone-sensitive tumour, despite the tamoxifen. So after my operation I switched to letrozole. Now I'm suffering with stiff muscles, particularly when I'm resting, and really bad joints...

Apart from all the side-effects I can get through the day much better with this medicine compared to tamoxifen which made me really depressed

Letrozole (2,5mg) for breast cancer

Whether I take Tamoxifen or Letrozol, I still get joint pain, apart from in elbows and knees. When I was switching from Tamoxifen to Letrozol, I suffered more with hot flushes. The muscle cramping I also had with Tamoxifen was a bit better in the first few months but is now back. Because I have mild osteoporosis I also take calcium with vitamin D. At the moment I don't know if the osteoporosis ...
