Xanax

alprazolam (0,5MG) for Anxiety & panic disorder

This drug has saved me on a thousand occasions, from generalized anxiety, panic attacks up to situations of severe insomnia, where the next day I had to get up early to go to work. I have always considered it a life-saving med: it is an excellent anxiolytic and I consider it very valid also for those suffering from sleep disorders, because it does not leave heaviness or drowsiness the next day,...

zopiclone (7,5MG) for Anxiety & panic disorder

I would like to share my experience with zopiclone. It has really helped me in two episodes of general anxiety. I took one pill before bed for almost 6 months. When i felt more at ease, i started to tapper off slowly during two months, till the point where i reached a quarter of the pill. Then i knew it was already placebo. I started to sleep well on my own again. Thank God. No withdrawl effect...

citalopram hydrobromide (20mg ) for Anxiety & panic disorder

I've been on citalopram for more than 12 years, I dropped to a 10mg after having my child. Now due to anxiety my doctor put me up to a 20mg and I'm nearly 2 weeks in to taken them and my anxiety is through the roof... my mornings are the worst and I'm finding it hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel as it is so intense. I've never had side effects from upping my medication and I think ...

Citalopram

17/08/2017 | | 22moderated by Philip
citalopram hydrobromide (10mg) for anxiety & panic disorder

Used this drug for anxiety and depression. First 2 weeks were about getting through it and finding lots of distractions. Took Oxazepam as well. After these 2 weeks it worked well. It was easier to relativise and I was calmer. Fell pregnant at the beginning of this year so stopped in March. I was able to stop in 1 go. Had a few days of side effects, dizziness and mood swings. But these were fine...

Paroxetine

03/08/2017 | | 25moderated by Charlotte
paroxetine hydrochloride anhydrous (40mg) for anxiety & panic disorder

Unfortunately, years too late, I was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder. Once I got to the point that I couldn't do anything, not even walk around my own house, there was nothing else to do but give paroxetine a go. I started slowly and finally got to 40 mg. The first weeks were hellish.. everything was a lot worse, but now 3 years later I am glad that I stuck with it, it's allowed me to live a...

Fluoxetine

24/07/2017 | | 36moderated by Henry
fluoxetine hydrochloride (20mg) for anxiety & panic disorder

You need to be patient while you're waiting for this to work, in my case around 4 weeks. There's now a bit of space between my thoughts and my physical reaction(s). Incredible to once again have control over my own thoughts. My anxiety has been pretty much deadened and I don't have any more panic attacks. I was a bit sick in the beginning, needed to pee more often and dreamed a lot but not badl...

Venlafaxine

venlafaxine hydrochloride (37,5mg) for anxiety & panic disorder

The first weeks I noticed the side effects (Nauseous, headache, dizzy and fatigue). But since then I can go outside again and I feel good 'without anxiety'! Under supervision from the doctor I am now coming off it. I should be able to stop completely within 2 weeks. Really happy with this medicine.

Buspirone

20/07/2017 | | 44moderated by Charlotte
buspirone hydrochloride (10mg) for anxiety & panic disorder

I'm really happy with buspiron. A psychiatrist advised me to try it because it seemed that after 21 years clomipramine had stopped working for me. The GP prescribed me 3 x 5 mg to start off with. After a few weeks I said I wanted to go up to 3 x 10 mg. Now, after a few months, I feel a bit better than without the buspiron. My biggest anxieties have completely disappeared. I hope it works for me...

Venlafaxine

venlafaxine hydrochloride (75mg) for anxiety & panic disorder

Used to take seroxat for anxiety and panic disorder but it gave me side effects such as loss of libido. So I switched to efexor which at this dose doesn't give me any side effects at all.

Oxazepam

19/07/2017 | | 26moderated by Susan
oxazepam (10mg) for anxiety & panic disorder

This is the first time I've taken oxazepam for panic attacks and anxiety. Unfortunately it seems to take an hour to work and even though I told the doctor my panic attacks can last up to 90 minutes she seems to have forgotten how long it takes for the tablets to work. For an exam or something that you know you need to prepare yourself for, you can take one at the right time to get you through. ...

Paroxetine

17/07/2017 | | 69moderated by Philip
paroxetine hydrochloride anhydrous (20mg) for anxiety & panic disorder

Because of a serotonin deficiency, the GP started me on 20 mg of Sandoz paroxetine back in 1998. great medicine. I've now been given 20 mg Aurobindo paroxetine. A few months ago. now taking 3 tablets and getting anxiety attacks as well as the symptoms listed above. I think it's quite irresponsible that I've been given these tablets made by someone else and they have such a radical effect on me.

Paroxetine

paroxetine hydrochloride anhydrous (20mg) for anxiety & panic disorder

It takes a little while to get used to it at first. But I'm never stopping again. I'd rather get used to it, enjoy life and put on a few extra pounds than be anxious and just skin and bones.

Paroxetine

paroxetine hydrochloride anhydrous (20mg) for anxiety & panic disorder

I was so reluctant to use antidepressants, but now so very glad I actually did. After years of struggle, trying to find out what was wrong with me. All my mood swings, always worrying and feeling insecure, others having to be careful around me because I wanted to be left alone. Now I finally have my life back. I am so very happy. My head is clear and I feel balanced. During the initial adjustme...

Citalopram

citalopram hydrobromide (10mg) for anxiety & panic disorder

Hey, I've been back to the GP today because of my anxiety and hyperventilation despite the citalopram... Still anxious and can't sleep.. Need to stop and try something different. So hopefully these will work. What you're saying could also be menopause. I was tested and apparently it was... And I was young too. Good luck.

Oxazepam

05/06/2017 | | 38moderated by Henry
oxazepam (10mg) for anxiety & panic disorder

Oxazepam works pretty quickly which means I can take it when I feel a panic attack coming on and it stops it. I prefer that to using it as a preventative and feeling dazed all day.

Citalopram

24/05/2017 | | 47moderated by Charlotte
citalopram hydrobromide (10mg) for anxiety & panic disorder

After taking seroxat for 24 years, I came off it too quickly. Now I'm on 10 mg seroxat and 10 mg citalopram. Has anyone else got experience of this combination of medicines? According to the GP it might be because of this. I'd like to come off the seroxat completely first, but that's pretty hard to do. The citalopram is working pretty well. I'm not quite there yet. Perhaps that's because I need...
