Metronidazole (500mg) for bacterial infection

I understand that if you have had a bad experience it is best to share it with others, but through all of the negative reactions that i read here about the use of metronidazole i almost didn't dare take it. This worry was all for nothing! naturally it was bad, but luckily i did not have any side effects.

Oxycodone (10mg) for bacterial infection

because of an inflamed tendon in the palm of my right hand I was prescribed this by my doctor. I didn't notice any difference except that I was slightly dizzy. Luckily that went away pretty quickly. As an asthma patient, luckily I haven't had any issues with breathing difficulties.

Amoxicillin

Amoxicillin (500mg) for bacterial infection

I'd had a high temp (39°C to 40.1°C) for 10 days. After just 10 mins the GP diagnosed me with a bacterial infection in my airways. She also said I'd probably see the fever calming in a couple of days. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. But taking these capsules gave me all manner of side effects. Continuous cramps in my lower abdomen and regular trips to the toilet with loose stools. On top of...

Amoxicillin

Amoxicillin (500mg) for bacterial infection

Literally a shite tablet. The effect of the medicine is out-and-out great. The side effects on the other hand are terrible. Diarrhoea, tiredness, headache, etc. etc. all day long. Makes it pretty difficult to stay the course.

Terbinafine tabletten

Terbinafine (250mg) for bacterial infection

After a few days I had a really high temperature, 40.7, and a heart rate of 150. Admitted to hospital. To start off with they couldn't get the fever and heart rate under control. Kidney failure. After 3 days in intensive care they managed to get everything sort of under control.

Clarithromycin

Clarithromycin (500mg) for bacterial infection

After using this drug for 4 days I became paranoid, confused, anxious, got palpitations (and sometimes my heart missed beats), swollen tongue and throat which almost made me retch, difficulty breathing, metallic taste in my nose and mouth, reduced appetite, nervous sweating, change in taste and smell, but the worst one was my swollen larynx. That all of a sudden I couldn't breathe. Stopped taki...

Diclofenac

Diclofenac (150) for bacterial infection

Disaster drug, it's shameful that it's even sold/prescribed. My side effects are extreme and as far as I'm concerned it's harmful to a number of organs. i really think I could die from this. Stopped after two days. Now (5 days later), I still have stomach and bowel pains, pain peeing. This drug would appear to have a poor reputation amongst people who work in the care sector. I spoke to a few p...

Amoxicillin (500mg) for bacterial infection

Six months ago I had my first amoxicillin course because of an attack of fever. No side-effects and better within couple of days. Four weeks ago because of ongoing cough and flu. No side-effects and afterwards reasonably okay. Then a root canal infection and molar removed. The problems came back straightaway. Now on my third course which is also doing what it's supposed to do, but now with bad ...

Doxycycline

Doxycycline (100mg) for bacterial infection

Folliculitis looks like acne on your scalp, but it's usually caused in older people by a bacterium. I used this medicine for one month in place of Minocycline, which is also moderately effective but for me perhaps slightly more effective. Unfortunately I've had this for 8 years now and it shows no sign of disappearing...!

Invega

12/5/2015 | | 52moderated by Susan
Paliperidone (3mg) for bacterial infection

Because of chronic infections in my bowels which have been untreated for decades (Bartonella, Bortadella, Borreila and dysbiosis) I regularly go into clinical shock. Invega lets me carry on as normal if this happens. In that respect this certainly is effective.
