Levocetirizine

levocetirizine dihydrochloride (5mg) for hayfever

This works for the hayfever symptoms but the side effects mean you're dead tired all day long, don't have any energy and can't function properly at work during the day: you want to (and can) just fall asleep. I also had no more energy and that's why I got fatter. (probably because I couldn't be arsed any more).

Avamys

fluticasone furoate (27,5ug/do) for hayfever

It had a heavy reaction on my head. It was very hard to stay alert. I felt the need to just close my eyes and go to sleep. I have used this medication before but only just figured out it induces sleep. Could the drowsiness be caused by a combination with other medication?

Desloratadine

desloratadine (2,5mg) for hayfever

Great medicine, does what it's supposed to do. Tiny little blue pill, easy to swallow. I haven't noticed any side effects.

Grazax

timothy grass pollen allergen (75000e) for hayfever

After nearly 35 years of taking medicine (prescribed and over-the-counter) for my hayfever symptoms, I'd pretty much had enough. I came across immunotherapy on Google. Both the GP and the ENT specialist were quickly in agreement. Testing showed that I had pure hayfever with no other allergies. In the meantime, I've been taking this medication for 8 months. And with a clear result. Absolutely no...

Cetirizine

27/05/2017 | | 7moderated by Susan
cetirizine dihydrochloride (10mg) for hayfever

Used this for our son. One hour after taking it he fell asleep, at 6pm, felt sick and had a headache. I think it's a terrible drug and I've thrown it all in the rubbish bin. Never using this again!

cetirizine dihydrochloride (10mg) for hayfever

I've been taking cetirizine for hayfever for years. It reduces my symptoms. It does make me quite drowsy though. So I take it before I go to bed. It works for 24 hours.

Grazax

26/09/2016 | | 36moderated by Henry
timothy grass pollen allergen (75000e) for hayfever

Suffered with the most extreme form of hayfever since I was young. Lots of sneezing, inflamed eyes and really tired. Several tests have all shown that I am allergic to many things including grass. I was most allergic to grass - so badly so that after each test I had to have an antihistamine to cope with the reactions... After taking Grazax for a good 2 years it now seems that my allergic reacti...

Avamys

fluticasone furoate (27,5ug/do) for hayfever

This drug definitely works well (my hayfever symptoms disappeared), but it's totally not worth it considering the side-effects. One hour after the first spray --> splitting headache akin to migraine or a severe sinus infection (oppressive painful feeling around the sinuses). I notified the GP and immediately stopped using this drug. Never again! I'm now taking Bellozal hills (orally)

Grazax

timothy grass pollen allergen (300ir) for hayfever

Unfortunately I'm still suffering with this allergy even after using this for 4 years and I haven't even noticed a reduction in the symptoms. Taking the tablets gives me an unpleasant itch in my throat which disappears after about 20 minutes. For people with severe hayfever you have to weigh up the pros and cons of taking this medicine, I've had to pay for this myself for the past 4 years (a to...

Grazax

03/04/2016 | | 44moderated by Philip
timothy grass pollen allergen (75000e) for hayfever

No complaints when I started taking Grazax but after about 2-3 weeks I developed an allergic reaction to the medicine. Now, 4 months later, the problems are considerably reduced. All I've got now is a blocked/swollen Eustachian tube on the one side. It seems to work. Up to now I've not had a bad experience with this medicine.
