Metoprolol Tartrate

metoprolol tartrate (50mg) for cardiac arrhythmia

I am/was a healthy person until I developed this cardia arrhythmia and palpitations, mostly after excess exercise, drinking alcohol or stress. In the meantime I also noticed that, as time went on, the episodes were occurring more frequently. I was put on 1 50 mg tablet of metoprolol. The arrhythmia has stayed away but I can't manage even a sip of alcohol. My body had to work really hard to adju...

Amiodarone

01/07/2017 | | 63moderated by Philip
amiodarone hydrochloride (200mg) for cardiac arrhythmia

Medication works well for the symptoms but the fact that I can't go in the sun any more is rather annoying, it feels like my head is on fire and can't go outside without a hat on, I get really tired when I've been in the sun all day. I don't sweat any more so I can't bear the heat either.

Xarelto

Rivaroxaban (20mg) for cardiac arrhythmia

When I was on holiday in America I was admitted to hospital because of cardiac arrhythmia. After 4 days of investigations I was given children's aspirin and Metoprolol. In Holland, this medicine was replaced with Tambocor. Now Xarelto. I'm a natural person and honestly don't really want to be putting all these chemicals into my body...

dabigatran etexilate mesilate (110mg) for cardiac arrhythmia

loads of problems with pvc so had an ablation. Why pradaxa with loads of side effects. must be another blood thinner out there. My suspicion is that the specialists are sponsored by the drugs companies. It must be possible for there to be drugs out there on the market that have fewer side effects Why is no thought ever given to this. It seems that the Pharmaceutical industry has so much power t...

Pradaxa

dabigatran etexilate mesilate (150mg) for cardiac arrhythmia

After using this for about a year it seems that it's causing more side effects than the benefit I'm getting from taking it, or do you somehow get used to it? But I had never had a good feeling about it like when I was taking marcoumar. More misery comes from the increased liver values, ALT and AST. Now I need to have a scan and the noise from the machine makes me anxious. So I what I think is t...

Flecainide Acetate

09/06/2017 | | 58moderated by Charlotte
flecainide acetate (100mg) for cardiac arrhythmia

I was really happy with Flecainide. All of a sudden, the specialist told me I had to switch to Lanoxin. Since then I have lost all my motivation. It has infested so many aspects of my life that it's made me depressed. It also gives you erratic and fast cardiac arrhythmia. My arrhythmia is now a lot worse but the specialist tells me I need to persevere. I much preferred flecainide .

Digoxin

09/06/2017 | | 58moderated by Susan
digoxin (0,25mg) for cardiac arrhythmia

I think this is a truly horrendous drug. all day I feel like someone is watching me. Also get hot flushes with it, headache and every morning really nauseous. And palpitations which cause me quite a lot of pain. Lanoxin is a known poison but you still take it and not for fun. It really feels like you're being poisoned. I take it 'for' arrhythmia but this has become twice as bad. I am also given...

Amiodarone

amiodarone hydrochloride (200mg) for cardiac arrhythmia

No effect so no point in taking this, but the cardiologist said that this is the best drug available? Cannot cope with the sun. I'm trying without it after a second opinion from another cardiologist.

Metoprolol Tartrate

19/05/2017 | | 72moderated by Philip
metoprolol tartrate (25mg) for cardiac arrhythmia

The intended effect of the medicine didn't work on me. Palpitations and arrhythmia stayed the same but my heart beat regular dipped below 40 - 30 per minute. The side effects were really bad (Headache, dizziness, absent-minded, no energy, nausea, generally feeling unwell). Regularly felt like a zombie, absolutely no desire to do anything at all. Stopped about 1 month ago and started taking supp...

dabigatran etexilate mesilate (150mg) for cardiac arrhythmia

In 2016 took this for 6 months with no side effects. Started taking it again and seem to have developed an allergy to it. Rash without itchiness and short of breath/breathlessness.

Procoralan

ivabradine hydrochloride (7,5mg) for cardiac arrhythmia

This medicine only works for arrhythmia when you're at rest. At even mild exertion the problems return. Doctor said that the above makes sense and it only really works if you take it with a beta blocker.

Xarelto

Rivaroxaban (20mg) for cardiac arrhythmia

No effect on chest fibrillations. And the side-effects are awful so I am considering switching back to my old medicine.

Xarelto

Rivaroxaban (15mg) for cardiac arrhythmia

I've been taking this medicine in advance of a planned ablation in about 3 or 4 weeks. I'm now on my 3rd day of taking this and I am suffering with cold hands and feet, nagging pain in my legs, tinnitus and a heavy feeling in my head. In the past I have been treated for thrombosis and I think this is better and only for a short while, so I'll cope with the unpleasantness for now.
