terbinafine hydrochloride (250mg) for fungal nail infection (onychomycosis)
I was prescribed a 2 week course for a fungal infection on my skin. It disappeared like snow in the sun with no side effects. To my amazement, the infection in my nail also began to grow out in the following months. I had tried so many other fruitless remedies to get rid of the nail (eg like Lamisil). with no joy. Now all of a sudden it seems to be cured. When it looked like the affected part was almost completely grown out, it seemed to have actually gone deeper into the nail. I've now got a second course (about half a year after the first) for 2 weeks to see if this will get rid of it altogether.
