Azathioprine

azathioprine (50mg) for Crohn's disease

I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease after medical examination. The first few weeks with Aza were miserable; my body reacted to every change in medication. I had no appetite, felt nauseous. At first I had to take 3 tablets a day, but the aza didn’t reach the required level. Allopurinol was added to increase the effects of Aza, now 1 tablet a day is all I need. I’ve never since had an attack, my appetite is fine and even alcohol doesn’t cause any problems.
