metoprolol tartrate (25mg) for increased heart rate

I have developed an increased heart rate because of stress, the psychiatrist says I have to keep taking this even though I want to stop it, so many side effects (weight gain, urinating a lot, restless sleep, sore eyes) that I never had before I started taking this drug. I'm on a low dose of 25 mg, I still want to speak to him about it but he just keeps telling me I have to take it.

metoprolol tartrate (100mg) for increased heart rate

Started on 100 mg. Resulting BP 87/60 (never had high BP). On 50 mg still didn't feel great. Reduced to 25 mg, perfect. I buy it in Bangkok because they don't have it where I live. It's made my StadaPharm (a German company). The doctor prescribed it after I had an angioplasty.

metoprolol tartrate (50mg) for increased heart rate

up to now (luckily) I've only had to take this once after having an increased heart rate for about 5 hours. The GP did advise that it might trigger my asthma which is unfortunately the case; totally breathless the day afterwards. But my heart was calmed within an hour of taking it
