Because of bleeding between periods, switched to this injection on the advice of the GP. I had the first one in August. The first two months were fine but then in October I had my first period and it lasted for 3 weeks. Afterwards I was very tired, dizzy and felt completely powerless. Then I had another period in December that lasted for 5 weeks and another week of spotting. After that week, I started bleeding heavily again. This lasted for 12 weeks. I went to the GP about it and immediately stopped the injections and had a 10-day course (chemical curettage) as well to stop the bleeding. I won't be having this injection again.
