Medroxyprogesterone (150mg/ml) for contraception / birth control
Because I had a boyfriend, was often with him but regularly forgot to take my pill, I went on to the depo shot. the first one was 1987. absolutely no problems. no monthly cycle. but now i'm 50 and my hair is thinning. I have spoken to the GP about stopping this contraceptive. I'm curious to see what the side effects might be as it works its way out of my system. I had my last one on 17 June 2016. So I've been using it for years. Will I start menstruating again? the GP says it's unlikely. or will I lose all my hair?
