Clindamycin

Clindamycin (300mg) for erysipelas

I have on average two episodes of erysipelas a year. Since 2012, I have been prescribed clindamycine for it (3 x 2 300 mg tablets a day; the course lasts 7 days). After two days I can notice a marked improvement, apart from having a bit of pain when I walk. I don't have any side effects. I'm really happy with it.

Oxycodone (10mg) for erysipelas

I got a very aggressive form of erysipelas. Friday lunch time a small red spot appeared on my calf and Saturday morning I was lying in hospital with a half open, eaten calf up to my knee and my lymph nodes were struggling to cope. I had an infusion of 7 different antibiotics. The pain was unbearable and I have a very high pain threshold. Oxycodon took the worst of the pain away. But I was also ...
