Paroxetine

Paroxetine (30mg) for borderline personality disorder (BPD)

Prescribed by my GP for depression and anxiety. In the beginning I had loads of side effects: heart palpitations, sweating, excessive yawning, disorientation and loss of concentration. The yawning still hasn't gone away. I was satisfied at the start, everything seemed to stabilise. But after 6 months I had to start taking oxazepam as well because the symptoms of depression increased, had suicid...

Citalopram (10mg) for borderline personality disorder (BPD)

I've been using this medicine for a while now and I'm getting on better with it than paroxetine. I haven't had problems with any kind of side effects. I used this back in 2013, but then I got Crohn's disease and I couldn't handle it any more so I switched to paroxetine but it didn't have the desired effect.

Citalopram (30mg) for borderline personality disorder (BPD)

I started taking this medicine for mood swings, anxiety and compulsive thoughts. I found it worked okay when I was on on 30 mg. The side effects (yawning) went away after two weeks, apart from the wild dreams and loss of libido. Citalopram left me with no desire for sex at all. I also tried 20 mg Fluoxetine, but this also lowered my libido and I also just couldn't get on with it. I'm now lookin...

Fluoxetine (20mg) for borderline personality disorder (BPD)

I started taking this medicine for mood swings, anxiety and compulsive thoughts. It worked well when I was on 20 mg. The side effects (yawning) went away after two weeks apart from the wild dreams and loss of libido. Fluoxetine made me less interested in sex and also unable to climax. I then tried Citalopram 30 mg, but this also caused a total loss of libido. I'm now on the look out for an effe...

Citalopram (30mg) for borderline personality disorder (BPD)

I started taking Citalopram (30mg) after I had tried Fluoxetine (Prozac) but I wasn't able to climax on this medication. I was taking it for mood swings, anxiety and compulsive thoughts. I'm starting to come off it this week because the Citalopram has caused me to have no interest in sex whatsoever, for about a whole month. It also doesn't work that well, the Fluoxetine was better. I am now sea...

Venlafaxine

Venlafaxine (37,5mg) for borderline personality disorder (BPD)

Of all the antidepressants venlafaxine suits me the best, used it for years, initially at a high dose, 225 mg, but that numbed all of my feelings/emotions, now reduced down to a dose of 37.5 mg for the past four years and that works brilliantly, been less depressed over the years and this seems to be my maintenance dose, if I stop taking it, my feelings and emotions come back to the fore and yo...
