beclometasone dipropionate, formoterol fumarate dihydrate (6 ) for asthma

Once you have used about three quarters, Foster ampoule is no longer effective. You might as well throw away the last quarter. If I have to use part of the last quarter I just get short of breath.

For the last 7 prescriptions of Fostair I have found that it does'nt work once you get down to approx 45 doses apparently left in the inhaler. The first time this happened I didn't realise that it was not delivering any medication (as it sounded as if it had,and the dose counter was counting down as normal), but then my peak flow readings dropped drastically. I took it back to pharmacy where the inhaler was examined in detail, but no explanation was found for it ceasing to deliver the inhaling. This has been my repeat experience. I have mentioned my concern about cost to the NHS as presumably they are paying for full 121 doses, but are only getting approx 80, no response!!

I have experienced the same. I have now changed back to Clenil.

I have been taking Fostair for about a year. It controls the asthma but I also find that the spray gets blocked with fifty doses to go. This happens every single time.
