Crestor

rosuvastatin calcium (5mg) for heart pain

On 31 Dec 2015 I had 5 drug eluting stents inserted into 2 coronary arteries. Prescribed (daily): 80 mg aspirin, 75 mg grepid/clopidogrel, 25 mg metoprolol succinate retard, 40 mg pantoprazole pensa, simvastatin. Because I complained about side effects from simvastatin, switched over to Crestor/rosuvastatin 5 mg. LDL cholesterol is now staying under 2.5 got no idea if that's because of the pill. Given the side effects (poor vision, lighter sleep/waking earlier (previously I couldn't be woken up), despondent, odd muscle pain in my shoulders/neck, sleepy feeling in my thighs, feeling like someone has stomped on my kidneys, loss of libido) saw the cardiologist in June and in 2 weeks I'm stopping to see if the symptoms disappear. Seeing my GP soon to have a blood test.
