Strattera

13/07/2017 | | 29moderated by Susan
atomoxetine hydrochloride (80mg) for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

My experience with this is, overall, really quite positive. In the first month a few noticeable psychological side effects, but that was to be expected. These side effects were anxiety and being extra sensitive and emotional (crying). Every time my dose increased, the side effects came back. I was on Ritalin for 15 years and Straterra keeps my head calmer. I am less impulsive and, according to other people, I am more approachable than when I was on Ritalin. I do feel quite numb, still and somewhat emotionless. I can imagine that this would lead some people into a depression but I'm not that way inclined. All in all not fantastic but certainly better than Ritalin. Taking it once a day is also quite convenient.
