I've been using metformin for 11 years, first 2 x 500 and the last 6 months 3 x 500. it is not possible for me to live a normal life. Before 12:00 noon I can't leave the house: going to the toilet 4 to 5 times. And then sometimes it goes on into the afternoon. When I do have to go out in the morning, I don't take any metformin the day before, or on the day that I need to go out. I'm going to stop taking this. It is a horrible drug and after so many difficulties I'm going to stop taking it.
