I had too high a BP (I'm 64) and first of all I was prescribed hydrochlorothioazide which didn't help. Then I had Amlodopine as well but I only managed that for one day because my heart rate increased dramatically and my BP rose as well so I stopped it straight away. Then I was given Lisinopril and I've had no side effects (now and then coughing but not excessive) and somewhat more tired but I can live with that. BP back to normal really quickly.
