Been taking omeprazole for about six months. One 20 mg capsule every other day. Previously I was taking a Gaviscon tablet pretty much every day. Reflux completely gone. Haven't noticed any side effects yet. Apart from a bit of weight gain. But that's more than likely not because of the medicine but because it's more pleasurable for me to eat. Before I used to avoid all sweet stuff because it guaranteed I would get reflux. My life has been changed by omeprazole !
