56 year old man, taken Amlodipine for years for my high blood pressure. Had 2 angioplasties and 1 stent. And now I'm stuck at home with depression for ... ? I had a look at the medicines I take for my heart and it's 7 different ones, 4 of which can cause depression. Stopped taking the Amlodipine and after one week it was like someone had taken the grey cloud from above my head away. Everything was lighter and better. Refound my energy and my appetite, BP stable. Been to see a private dietician and it's gone so well that I am stopping all my medicines 1 by 1. Live your own life, not that of the pharmacy's!
