hydroxycarbamide (500mg) for essential thrombocythaemia

I have to keep taking this medicine because I make too many blood platelets myself but now that I've been on this for 17 years, the side effects are just getting worse. Nauseous, skin cancer, mouth pain, skin discoloration, dizziness, stomach problems, bowel problems, toenails falling out, dead tired. Has anyone else experienced this? I have essential thrombocythaemia.
