Ventolin

salbutamol sulfate (200ug/do) for Breathing problems

breathlessness mostly in the spring (pollen), warm weather and autumn (moisture, leaves falling). I've got COPD, asthma and have 2 heart attacks, polyneuropathy, hyperthyroidism, fibromyalgia. Used Foster but Ventolin provides better relief. Only problem is with going to the toilet.

salbutamol sulfate (100ug/do) for Breathing problems

Worked fine, I could take it up to six times a day. Now I'm on Salbutal, not nearly as effective and has a nasty taste!

Champix

varenicline tartrate (0,5+1mg) for Breathing problems

After smoking for 43 years I haven’t had a single cigarette for 5 days now, after taking champix for 11 days. My GP sent me to a lung specialist because I couldn’t stop coughing. A scan showed two dark spots on the lungs, nothing serious jet but this could change if I kept smoking. Now I’m smoke free for over 5 days thanks to champix and I feel better already, no more wheezing when lying down.

Spiriva

tiotropium bromide monohydrate (18ug) for Breathing problems

I have been diagnosed with cardiac arrhythmia. Took this for narrowed airways. The specialist said this shouldn't have any effect on my heart! But it still gave me a very irregular heartbeat and high blood pressure. And an incredible amount of vomiting. I even had to get an ambulance and was advised to stop immediately.

Foradil

formoterol fumarate dihydrate (12ug) for Breathing problems

My breathing problems improved a lot due to Foradil spray. Now it is no longer produced I use Atimos, which is not nearly as effective. I just recently had to stay in hospital, something I was able to prevent with Foradil the last 20 years.

Champix

varenicline tartrate (1mg) for Breathing problems

After smoking for over 31 years I got a lung infection after having the flu and was told my lungs are damaged.......okay...fair enough. Got Champix from the GP. Works PERFECTLY for me! Mild nausea for a few days, regular bowel problems. Stopped on day 9 and had no "I need a fag" feeling. Spend time with colleagues who still smoke and it doesn't bother me. Really happy....

Bricanyl

terbutaline sulphate (0,25mg/do) for Breathing problems

Because there wasn't a direct answer to my problems, this was to treat the symptoms and not preventative. So sometimes I used it more often than prescribed and that unfortunately led to pretty bad palpitations.

Symbicort

budesonide, formoterol fumarate dihydrate (200/6ug/do) for Breathing problems

I have noticed that I find it a lot more difficult to maintain my weight than before I was on symbicort, since I started taking it, I've put on about 10 kg and I struggle to lose it. Because of the exercise-induced asthma it's difficult to exercise hard.

Avamys

28/03/2017 | | 66moderated by Henry
fluticasone furoate (27,5ug/do) for Breathing problems

So I was prescribed a nasal spray that I was supposed to test. This worked really well, however I don't find the spray that Avamys uses particularly nice. It's difficult to dose correctly and you feel as if hardly anything is coming out so then you take an extra dose, a spray is supposed to last about 6 weeks. After about 3 weeks there was nothing coming out. I checked to see if there was still...
