Metoprolol (25mg) for migraine

Took metoprolol for hormonal migraines. It seemed to make sense to take the 25 mg delayed-release ones. For me, the worst side effects were feeling very stressed and insomnia. I combined it with nitrazpam every third night to get some sleep. Halved the dose after 6 weeks because of the stress and lack of sleep. Then it was totally ineffective against the migraines and the side effects were even worse. . Unfortunately I had to stop taking it because of the side effects. Nevertheless I would recommend it to people with severe migraines because the 25 mg certainly seemed to help. Not everyone will have these side effects.
