Lariam

Mefloquine (250mg) for malaria

Initially Lariam in 1997 and then later in 2014 Malarone. I think it's totally rubbish because it doesn't work and/or has really bad side-effects. Despite taking Lariam I got malaria twice, one of those times from Plasmodium Falcimparum. I didn't get malaria on Malarone but on it I was still grumpy, couldn't sleep, had hallucinations, diarrhoea… Stopped after two weeks on Malarone and felt much better within two days. The following two weeks felt perfect.
