Protopic

Tacrolimus (0,3mg/g) for eczema

I was given this salve for eczema on my eyelids. Initially I was given an oily salve but that didn't help much. After that I was given a hormonal cream but that can only be used on eyelids for a limited time and my skin stayed incredibly dry. Started using Protopic twice a day which has reduced down to a maximum of twice a week now. I noticed a difference after just a few days. The first few times I applied it carefully, I noticed a burning sensation. This went away after a few days. Now I only get it when I drink alcohol, after the first few sips. Then I get a burning sensation and my skin feels somewhat warmer. It disappears after a while. Hopefully my eczema will now day away.
