Sertraline (100mg) for depression

I've been on sertraline for four weeks now. after taking citalopram for fifteen years. I had to come down from 50mg to 20mg is fourteen days. and then I started sertraline. but it was hellish, spent the past four weeks feeling really unsettled, having panic attacks. apparently you need to stick with it but otherwise i'd stop. I started on 25mg then 50mg and now on a hundred. so you start thinking it's going to get better. so now my question is are there people out there who it got better for???
