Quetiapine

Quetiapine (25mg) for Asperger's syndrome (AS)

I started on risperidone but struggled with its side-effects. I've now been taking quetiapine for four years at a low dose (25 mg). during the day I'm a lot calmer and above all I've noticed that my pot doesn't bubble over as often, and the biggest advantage is that I can now recognise when my pot is about to bubble over and can take time for myself. I used to be a morning person and was always awake before the alarm clock and full of energy. it is now a lot different, I need to be woken up and get a few cups of coffee down me. my wife is really happy with this because it takes the pressure out of the mornings for her. she can also wake up gradually. personally I find it's not so great.
