Venlafaxine

Venlafaxine (225mg) for chronic depression

I have been taking antidepressants since I was 25 (I'm now 47). SSRIs. The last couple of years it's been Venlafaxine. I get the impression that although the dose is now pretty high the depression hasn't got any less, in fact it has even got worse. Of course I don't just take these pills, I exercise regularly too and recently went (back) to a psychologist. Perhaps it's just that the medicine is gradually losing its effectiveness.
