Tramadol (50mg) for hernia

After having a bad back hernia for 4 months, I was prescribed tramadol in combination with paracetamol. It takes away the worst of the pain. But you feel as sluggish as a sloth. 2 months later I had a hernia operation. After a week I was supposed to stop taking tramadol and everything else. So that's what I did, as prescribed by the doctor, specialist, physiotherapist and the GP. But you must NEVER do it. Totally incompetent to advise me to do so. Depression, crying fits, out of body experience, I had them all at the same time. 3 days of this hell. I would recommend coming off slowly. What a lot of nonsense!
