Visual hallucinations on the second day of treatment, my wife wakes up in panic and it took me a good half hour to "bring her back" to the real world. Super worried about the causes of this hallucination, I searched for hours on the net from where this could come with the keyword "visual hallucinations" but nothing conclusive. It is a random article that talks about some treatments that can pr...

For a cystitis I got prescribed Furabid. With different antibiotics I am very sensitive for the side-effects. Unfortunatly is was the same with Furabid. Amoxicillin (500mg) for urinary infection

Because of a simple urinary infection, the GP prescribed this medicine for me. From day 1 I was nauseous, had headaches and bladder cramps which meant I couldn't go to the toilet any more. After 3 days I was catheterised and was sick, week and bedridden for the whole week. This also failed to give me any relief. Lying in bed for hours relieved the symptoms a bit and it was bearable. After 7 day...

Ciprofloxacin (500mg) for urinary infection

After a urine test, my GP prescribed this medicine. The test showed that the infection was caused by e. coli. This medicine is supposed to attack these bacteria but it seems like the infection is hardly affected at all. After a 2 week course, the symptoms had reduced. But another 2 weeks later and they were back, and worse (blood in my urine). Back to the GP for another urine test. Given the sa...

On Tuesday it hurt a bit when I went to the toilet but by Thursday it was making me scream and clear I had a serious urinary infection. Had a fever from this awful medicine.
