Because I experienced a number of problems due to medication that I would rather have been ahead of, I was immediately interested in taking the DNA test of this site. This test provides insight and explains why medicines work well/less well. I can also fill in medicines that I might want to use in the future and I can then see if they may be processed delayed. Until now I didn't feel understood if I couldn't take a drug again. It appeared to explain that certain drugs had a stronger side effect than normal for me. But there was also other information about certain genes that I have that can also help me well. I have also added a practitioner (my GP) who will then have a complete overview of the results and therefore have a good insight into any future adjustments to my medication. However, I did need the telephone discussion to be able to understand the whole thing properly. I recommend this test wholeheartedly. I wish everyone responsible use of medicine. I definitely give this program 5 stars. The program is very accessible as well as the administrators. Especially the pharmacist. The program is very client friendly and easy to use. The scan indicates whether there are any conflicts with the use of medicines, especially those based on DNA strands. You can add your doctor as practitioner so that he can first see if there is any conflict when he wants to prescribe something. You can also take the program with you on your phone or iPad. If you do not understand something, they are immediately willing to help you. I have discovered a lot as I use a lot of medication. As far as I am concerned, nothing but compliments. Worth more than 5 stars, as far as I'm concerned.

The idea of using a DNA test to arrive at a better choice and dosage of medicines really appeals to me. After sending my saliva sample, it took several weeks before I got the results. However, the wait was rewarded. After filling in my medicines on the site and the pleasant and clear telephone explanation, everything became clear. I can recommend a DNA test at this site for everyone: young or old, sick or healthy, male or female, for 2 reasons:

1. It provides valuable insight into how our body is 'made', allowing you to see at an early stage whether you have a predisposition (predisposition or increased risk factor) to certain conditions. You can also determine the effectiveness of the medicines used and to be used, for you personally! So never again let the doctor send you home with a load of pills without knowing if it suits you!

2. With this site, everything is neatly and professionally arranged, with personal follow-up, advice and guidance, not only in administering the test itself, but also in any follow-up processes. This test should be mandatory for everyone, I think it's that important!

I had a DNA test done in connection with various medications that I am taking. The description that came with the package to take a sample of cheek mucus from myself was clear. After about 4 weeks I got a result. I can find a lot of extra information and explanation on my personal account. I can also ask to see what certain combinations of medicines do. I had some questions by email and they were dealt with very well. I even got a call. I was able to make a printout for my doctor, but that information is very limited, much less than on my account. My doctor has contacted with my consent and has suggested creating a treating physician portal that can be activated by the patient itself. They also started working on that and that will soon be tried out by me, I understood. If I start using other medication in the future, my profile will automatically adjust. Before I decide to try a medicine, I can also have it assessed through my DNA profile. I paid the costs myself, it is not cheap and I actually think that the health insurance should cover it or part of it. Taking unsuitable medication for years with a chronic illness also costs money.

When I read the other reviews and researched a little more about the test and looked at information about the company involved, I decided to do it. The test kit was easy to use and the results came earlier than I expected and with a clear and understandable explanation. It appeared to explain that certain medicines had a stronger effect and side effect than normal for me. But there was also other information about certain genes that I have that can also help me well. That was quite a surprise, the explanation was very clear there too. I also recognize things that come out of this, such as a slightly delayed blood clotting (those big bruises). I can also fill in medicines that I might want to use in the future and I can then see if they may be processed with delay. Apparently you will soon be able to send a link/access for this to your doctor. I also had the opportunity to discuss my result with a pharmacist and I learned a lot from that. I also liked the communication with the site owners and you get an immediate answer, which gives confidence. All in all, I certainly do not regret taking this test. I am also going to recommend it to my environment.

I am fully convinced to give this research 5 stars. It has given me a lot of insight into my use of medication and its effect or minimal effect. But especially the compliments to the pharmacist of this company. Received an enormous amount of explanation both via email and personally over the phone. I will soon take my list to the doctor and various specialists. Because a number of side effects that I have can certainly be explained. I really want to do something with this. Of course with the doctor and the pharmacy. This is not easy because doctors have little time nowadays. It would be nice if there would be a doctor's entrance or an adequate report. For now I try to give willing doctors the program and my password (you can change it again) and ask them if they have time or if they would like to have a look. But you can also check a new medicine yourself and you can already do a lot with it. I noticed that a relatively harmless medicine such as a stomach protector did not work well. Very satisfied with the pharmacogenetic research that I had conducted here. Vague complaints which seemed to be caused by medication use were the direct reason for me to investigate. The results are presented in an understandable form and provide a unique insight into your own DNA. The possibility is offered to ask additional questions as soon as the results are known and if not everything is clear yet. The impact on my personal situation is great, I can now, in collaboration with a specialist, better “tailor” the medication to my body and I can now avoid particularly unpleasant side effects of medicines. It is actually strange that pharmacogenetic research is not yet a standard procedure for specialists, with the information problems with medication can be prevented, which until now had to be determined by experiment. From my perspective, this test is well worth its price.

I think this kind of tests are certainly a matter of trust, even via the internet. I work in healthcare and am very interested in new technological developments in this field. Person-centered treatment plays an increasingly important role in health care. I believe, and many others with me, that privacy is extremely important in this regard. In my opinion, this site is at the forefront in the Netherlands and Europe by indicating that the results of my DNA test are also my property. And that these results may not be used for other purposes without my permission. The test arrived quickly and after a few weeks the results were in. I find the explanation on the site about this very clear and good. My personal opinion is that this site should also prominently indicate that my data is really my property. After all, that is a very strong point! Other strengths are that the test is very comprehensive and that even more genes will be added when more information is available, I understand. After the results of the test, I soon received an email from the pharmacist with the question whether all the information was clear and whether I might need a telephone call to explain the results. I have done that. The pharmacist really took the time to do this. These kinds of tests are simply not cheap. I use medication and after this test I know why I have to take into account the dosage for certain medicines in connection with the risk of side effects or the effect of a medicine or certain substances in general. That is quite complex, but I can at least discuss it with my doctor or pharmacist. That's why the test is more than worth its money! A lot of other companies can learn something from this customer service as far as I'm concerned. So after these experiences I give the test, the top service and the website 4 stars. Not 5 because the strong point of the site, ownership of your own data, should be emphasized even more. Obviously that's just my personal opinion.

I have been taking antidepressants for several months now and I feel these are not working properly. I also had a lot of side effects from the medication. My husband pointed me to the DNA test for my medication. After reading the website, we ordered the DNA test and received it very quickly. Fortunately, the results followed quickly, and a very good explanation! It's nice to know which gene I have. I also found out that those many side effects really had to do with my DNA, I am just mega sensitive. I could email them some questions (a response within a few hours!) and I even had a nice telephone conversation about the results. All in all, I really advise everyone to take a DNA test, it is a bit of an expense but definitely worth it. I am never really quick to believe in these studies, but this has certainly proven otherwise. If you are not sure if you have the right medication, I will really advise you this test. Actually, doctors in the Netherlands should perform a test before they prescribe medication in a standard dosage and that saves people a lot of searching and fears. If I knew I was so sensitive, I would have liked to build up much more slowly with my medication.

I personally give this personal DNA medicine test 5 stars. The reason is: it is a well-understandable test.
A test that you can show to general practitioners and specialists, but which in my case has made a lot very clear to me. Until now, I did not feel understood if I could not handle a medicine again. Now it is black on white why this works differently for me. A good example is that now that I know that COMT gen is not working well, I've come to understand why I remain so stiff from the stress long after fear and shock. I've always thought that I was a weak person who could not bear anything. But now I see myself and the doctors in a different light. Even the medicines that I break down badly according to my DNA, I always had to defend. Now I put the DNA on the table.
It is only a pity that doctors have not been trained in this. We should bring that to the attention of future doctors...
Furthermore, I would recommend it to anyone who has difficulty taking medicines. But also for those who do not, it is a beautiful document about yourself that gives the truth about yourself. It is a clear story for me, with which you can do something right away. The person-oriented explanation of how the Genes work and the delay or acceleration factors are clear and well presented. The recommendations and advices are clearly and correctly described. The user-friendliness of the site and service are sensational. I also recognize certain complaints and side effects in the descriptions that both I and the doctors could not interpret earlier and that were often dismissed as almost impossible.
This test has given me and my treating physicians a great deal of insight, why I often respond paradoxically and with enormous and partly very severe side effects to certain medications, and why, for example, a necessary chemotherapy became life-threatening and I had to stop prematurely. For me personally, the knowledge of certain results gives me peace of mind and I can also accept things better now that I understand the reason. This information also gives me the opportunity to search for specific information myself, so that I can talk to specialists at the same level and help determine my treatment policy actively. This gives me conscious and clear decisions and therefore a high acceptance of any consequences; after all, I chose for it myself within the possibilities! I am now finally being taken seriously by my doctors with my always crazy reactions that "no one ever has", making me almost feel like a hysteric hypochondriac before. Now it's clear to everyone.

The link/relationship with the "involved" medicines, including those that are not taken by the user, may be easier. Eg. a hyperlink by clicking on the gene. Update: I may have overlooked it last time, but now I see indeed that per gene via "affected medicines" the list of affected medicines is listed as I intended, so my previous comment is no longer relevant. What is useful, perhaps, is also a reverse approach, so not via the gene, but vice versa. In my opinion, a doctor still selects a medicine based on a complaint pattern and practical experience and it is easy to also have a list/table with the medicines involved and the reference to the genes. I don't use any medication now, but the results can probably be used if I ever switch antidepressants. Would I recommend this test? I find that difficult for someone else to say, since it only has a partial influence. But I choose yes, because this is the future.

I do not use medication now, but have had this test carried out for the future. Now I know what to look out for when talking to my doctor about a possible blood test. I also received important information from the test for future operations and medication use.

I will discuss this test data bit by bit with my treating doctor and pharmacy. I am aware that I have to do this with caution as doctors are rather skeptical about examinations performed by third parties. I have already made the first move and I noticed a cautious restraint with my specialist, but it was certainly not a closed door. This will be therefore continued.
For me personally this test offers a certain peace. I can better accept the somewhat severe side effects now that I understand the reason. At the hospital I am assigned to a group of people who use pazopanib and other medication, but I now know why I sometimes respond differently to medication. The great thing is that I can explain this to the doctors, but especially to myself. (Understanding, acceptance and possible adjustment).
