Experiences with Cardiac arrhythmia

This medication slows down my heartbeat and i haven't had as much trouble with heart palpitations and arrhythmia since I've started taking it.

Xarelto then Eliquis. Side effect: mild headache and feeling of deafness all day. Tinnitus and light-headedness. Also occasional tingling in arms and legs.. I think my spirit doesn't want me to take them and that's why my body's reacting.

Open heart op in 1996 because of cardiac arrhythmia. Positive: after using it for about 10 days I suddenly had - for the first time in 10 years - a regular heart beat again. Went well for 10 days. asked to take this after a heart ablation. a year ago I was prescribed Eliquis and suffered lots of side effects incl. reduced kidney function and muscle problems. I felt like a proper guinea pig for the pharmaceutical industry with pradaxa. I can't stop because of an ablation in a few weeks.

In 2016, I was on this for 6 months without side effects. Starting to use it again and clearly developed an allergy to it. Rash but no itch, breathlessness.

I suffer really badly with extrasystoles but after extensive management with the cardiologist it seems to be essentially under control. It's mostly after mealtimes that they are most noticeable, and last 10-20 minutes. According to the specialist, I don't need to take any medicine for this and need to just learn to live with it.... Very excessive sweating at minimal effort, 15 min exercise and I need to rest for 30 min. I even needed a new towel because I was sweating so much. I had palpitations even in rest so my cardiologist gave me a prescription for Lanoxin. I’ve taken it for a week now and can sleep much better and don’t feel as hungry as before. My side effects are: a lot of diarrhea, queasiness and fatigue. Besides Lanoxin 0.125 I also take Metformine 850 twice a day, which probably makes the side effects worse. I’m not happy with this medicine.

Previous heart operations in 1978 and 1988 and been a medicine-user for many a year. Last May started on Flecainide 50 mg 2 x a day after an arrhythmia. I don't have any complaints about this medicine.

was given this to regulate my heart beats. also got valsartan 40 mg for my blood pressure. but now day and night i'm really struggling with sensations in my feet and painful toes. walking also hurts. could this be caused by this medicine? been referred to the orthopoedist. gp tested be for b11 deficiency and glucose. it was fine and b12. anyone know anything about this. thx will

Loads of side effects, above all fitness and tiredness issues, mentally less happy and active, sight worse, noise in my ears. I've used Eliquis for a year now and I've experienced absolutely no side effects. When I compare it to other blood thinners that you get for managing a thrombosis then this drug is totally user-friendly. From day 1 had no issues whatsoever.

Since the start of the year, the pharmacist, in her wisdom, has been replacing my Pfizer medicine, which was prescribed by the cardiologist, with that of Teva. After a period of atrial fibrillation, for which I was given other medicine, switched to flecainide. 100 mg to start, then 200 mg. Increase was possible because I'm 2 m tall and weigh 100 kg. It's had the desired effect for years without any side effects.

I got this in March 2015 after atrial fibrillation, it's supposed to be good because there's nothing you can do about coagulation etc.. but I actually do occasionally have problems with it because you hear strange things about brain haemorrhages and gastric bleeding, and people have died from these things.

because of an ablation for cardiac arrhythmia, which was really successful, had to take anticoagulants. To start off with it was marcoumar and I had to monitor my INR myself. The side-effect was a nosebleed that took me to the hospital. In consultation the cardiologist started using Pradaxa. Had arrhythmia for years. Initially the cardiologist gave me 50 mg of metoprolol, this was really not enough because the arrhythmia often 'broke through'. Afterwards following his advice was given 100 mg and that works brilliantly! I don't have any worrying side-effects (except for occasionally getting a bit dizzy and having a dry mouth), but definitely a recommendation!

Using this medication gives me a kind of hallucination, moving shadows and other forms. I feel really tired during the day, and I have also got insomnia. I reduced my dosage and the symptoms also reduced. No more hallucinations but I still see shadows. And another thing got less serious after I started taking tablets earlier in the day. A lot of problems with my oesophagus.
